Quitman, MS
Springs, cables, openers and new doors - Garage Door Repair Meridian covers Quitman.
Work in Quitman is steady enough that we know the awkward driveways and the streets where a full-size van has to back in. Small thing, but it is the difference between arriving on time and arriving eventually.
Quitman is about 28 miles south of our base in Meridian, inside Clarke County.
We come in on US-45 for most Quitman calls.
Emergency spring repair. The bang you heard was the spring. We stock the common sizes for Clarke County doors, fit them with proper winding bars, and set the balance so the door holds its own weight at waist height.
Remote and sensor problems. Doors that reverse for no reason are nearly always the safety sensors: dirty lenses, a knock from a bike, a loose wire in the bracket. Quick to fix, and worth fixing properly rather than taping the sensors up.
Supply and fit. Old door out, new tracks and springs in, opener reused if it is sound. Everything is balanced and safety-tested with you watching before we call the job done.

A car shut in the garage is the most common reason for an urgent call. A door that will not close and cannot be left open overnight is the second. Both are same-day problems, and both are usually resolved in a single visit because the parts involved are the parts we carry.
Tilt-up doors, obsolete track profiles and long-discontinued openers still get looked at properly before anyone suggests replacement.
Where the original part no longer exists, we tell you what we are fitting instead and why.
We would rather quote a Quitman job honestly than talk you into a new door you do not need. Call and describe what the door is doing - a lot of it we can narrow down before we set off.
If the door is up and you need it to stay up until we arrive, clamp a locking pliers onto the track just under the bottom roller on each side. That physically stops the door dropping. Do not rely on the opener to hold it once a spring has gone.
Spring brings the doors that have been limping since the cold snap. Rollers that seized and were forced, cables that stretched, tracks that got bent when a frozen door was driven against. All repairable, and all cheaper before the hardware wears further.
