Stuck door? We answer.

There is nothing complicated about what we do. Doors go up, doors go down, and when they stop we come out and fix them. Garage Door Repair Meridian serves Meridian, Lauderdale County and the towns along the I-20 and I-59 junction. Springs and cables are the emergencies; openers and new doors are the work you can plan.
Garage Door Repair Meridian started in 2015 as one truck working Meridian and the towns around it. It has grown, but the working method has not changed: diagnose it, price it, fix it in one visit where the parts allow.

Broken torsion or extension spring? That is the one that traps your car.
Motor humming, remote dead, or the door reversing halfway down.
A new insulated door, measured, ordered and hung properly.
We cover Meridian first and work outward through Lauderdale County and the towns along the I-20 and I-59 junction. If you are within about thirty miles and the door will not close, call - we would rather tell you honestly that we cannot make it today than leave you guessing.
Regular runs include Marion, Collinsville, Toomsuba, Bailey, Lauderdale, Daleville, Enterprise, Chunky, Decatur, Newton, Union, Philadelphia and the rest of Lauderdale County.

We would rather tell you 'tomorrow, eight to ten' than 'today, sometime' and leave you waiting in.
A door that holds at waist height by hand is a door that will not eat its opener. We do not leave until it does.
Some doors are finished. We will say it, quote the replacement, and not push you to decide on the spot.
We know which subdivisions around Meridian were built with light hardware and what usually goes on them first.
Four failures account for most of what we see in Meridian. A torsion spring snaps, and the door becomes too heavy for the opener or for you. A lift cable frays and jumps its drum, so one side rises and the other does not. Rollers seize and the door binds in the track, usually after a cold snap. Or the opener loses its drive gear and hums without lifting. None of those are DIY jobs once the door is loaded, and three of the four are same-day repairs when the parts are on the truck.
Ten to fifteen years. Before that, most faults are a worn gear, a failed capacitor or a sensor knocked out of line - all cheaper than replacing the unit.
Usually a weak battery or a worn antenna wire on the opener head. Occasionally it is interference from an LED bulb in the opener itself, which is a five-minute fix.
Please do not. A door off track is under uneven load and can drop or fold. Leave it, and do not run the opener - that is what turns a track job into a panel job.
Garage doors last longer with about ten minutes of attention a year. Wipe the tracks, do not grease them. Put a little lithium grease on the hinges, rollers and the spring itself. Tighten the lag bolts on the track brackets, because the vibration of a few thousand cycles works them loose. And once a year, watch the door close with a block of wood under it - it should reverse the moment it touches. If it does not, the safety reverse needs adjusting, and that one matters.

Tell us what it is doing and whether a car is shut in. Most spring and cable jobs are finished the same day.
